capita throughout their affiliation as a life member with the organization.
The 10 year service requirement can be satisfied by either membership as
an active member in a Chapter for a minimum of 10 years or by membership
in a Chapter of less than 10 years combined with membership as a financial
Associate Member equal to 10 years.
3. Associates may submit payment for National Life and Regional Life
membership at the same time.
4. Life Members will not be required to attend chapter meetings, assume
chapter obligations or have voting privileges.
5. Life Members who attend National Conventions, Regional Conferences and
Cluster meetings will be eligible for reduced registration fees on Conference
and Convention registration fees.
6. Life Members may attend all local chapter activities and will be
entitled to the following privileges; reduced registration fees,
reserved seating, a gold life pine, life membership certificate, card
inclusion on the mailing list for national publications.
Past Jack and Jill executive Board members shall receive local life
membership upon completion of their term as a member in good standing.
7. Members who have completed their tenure in good standing and
who have paid Life Membership fees at any time commensurate with the
number of years of active membership completed, shall maintain their life
membership status throughout their affiliation with the organization.
D. Father’s Auxiliary:
1. Chapters shall have the option of establishing a Fathers’ Auxiliary as a
support group for the chapter. The
spouse of a member in good standing within the chapter is eligible to
participate in the Fathers' Auxiliary.
Section 2. New Members
Election of new chapter members may only be held once a program year during the
months of January through April.
1. An Active member may nominate a mother for active membership
provided that the member gets another active member to sponsor the nominee with
her.
2. A member in good standing may sponsor only one name per year
3. Prior to submitting a membership application, sponsors must verify that
their nominee resides within chapter boundaries See Appendix A not designated
by other chapter boundaries). Applications for membership are due January 31.
4. A nominee who meets basic qualifications for membership and who
receives a sufficient number of votes by the membership shall be duly elected. The
number of votes needed will be determined by the membership and approved by
the body before the vote.
5. The names of the nominees for membership shall be presented by the membership
committee in February, voted in March and installed in April.
6. The body may vote not to take in new members.
