boundaries. Said member must keep her membership with her original Chapter
affiliation. Chapters existing or established
within a boundary defined areas may recruit and install members from the entire
defined area.
E. Financial assessment of transfer members will be prorated according to activities
and special chapter assessments for the remainder of the program year.
F. No member of good standing who transfers to another chapter shall be required to
pay National, Regional and local dues within the transition year under the same
fiscal year.
Section 5. Expulsion of Members
A. A member may be expelled from active membership and relinquish her slot if:
1. She fails to meet her financial obligation by September 30th.
2. She fails to abide by Article I, §1, A., 3, a-f.
3. She fails to meet her membership obligation of attendance as
outlined under Article I., Section 1., 3., b. Any other membership
obligation infraction (attendance, etc.) may be referred to the
membership committee at any time. The Membership Committee
shall then submit said report to the Executive Committee. Any
member(s) so named may be subject to termination
Expulsion Procedure:
1. The President will notify by registered letter the member in non-
compliance, stating the specific charges. Copies of the letter shall be sent
to the Regional Director, the National Officer of the Region and the
National Recording Secretary.
2. The member shall have seven (7) days upon receipt of the letter to respond.
3. The Executive Committee shall hear the member’s response and vote to
expel or reinstate the member. The member will be advised of the decision
of the Executive Committee.
4. The member shall have thirty (30) days to appeal after receiving
notification of expulsion, first to the local chapter executive board and
second to the Regional Director. If a majority of the local executive board
grants the appeal, the member shall be reinstated. If the member does not
receive a majority vote from the executive committee, she may appeal to
the Regional Director.
5. If the matter cannot be resolved at the regional level, a further appeal may
be made to the National Executive Board.
6. Expulsion is final if the member fails to respond to the President’s Letter of
Non-Compliance in seven (7) days. Expulsion is final if the member fails
to comply with the Appeal procedures as specified in the Bylaws.
Section 6. Code of Ethics / Code of Conduct
A. A member shall conduct business in accordance with the Robert’s Rule
of Order operations.
