               Appointment to visit plant

Noh: Could you make a trip to our main plant in Ulsan next Wednesday?
Adams: I am not quite sure if I can make it that day. I am supposed to have lunch with one of our
suppliers on Wednesday. In fact, my week is full. Can’t you schedule another visit in two week’s
                  time?
Noh: In that case, let’s make a tentative appointment for you to visit our main plant on a Tuesday
two weeks from now. Can you make it around 10 o’clock, Mr. Adams?
Adams: That sounds fine. Let’s do that, Mr. Noh. Can you have your secretary call up my secretary
to schedule and confirm this schedule? I really want to see your plant in Ulsan, but I’m just so
sorry that my schedule cannot accommodate that until two week’s time.
Noh: I look forward to your visit Mr. Adams. We’ll make it very informative and worthwhile. I know
that you won’t regret it. I’ll have my secretary do the proper coordination for our trip. Thanks!
We would be expecting to seeing you in Busan.

               1. Have you experienced visiting a plant? How was the experience like?

                  Sample answer:
Yes, I have been to a small computer parts plant in Guand Dong. It was very informative and
the people were very accommodating. They truly knew what they were doing. They readily
answered all our questions about production. They showed us the process too.

               2. What are the benefits of visiting a plant?

                  Sample answer:
It’s wonderful because it gives you a first-hand experience of how things are done. That beats
any advanced video clip available. I also like the interaction with the people behind produc-
tion. You can ask them questions about their experience. Visiting a plant also provides a closer
look at how things are done. I prefer that.

               3. What are the things that one can expect or request for when visiting a
                  plant?

                  Sample answer:
One can expect that there will be a guide. Plants usually have places that are restricted from
visitors, so a guide can tell the visitors which areas can be visited and which areas are off-limits.
Usually, visitors are made to wear protective clothes like gloves, aprons, hairnets, and even
