12. Installing the drag link arm

a. Install the drag link arm onto the steering knuckle.
Mount and tighten the slotted nut on the drag link arm,
align the nut slot with the cotter pin hole of the bolt.

Caution
If the nut groove is not aliged with the hole after
tightening. Slowly tighten the nut (do not reverse

undo the nut) until it goes through the split pin.

b. Mount the locking the cotter pin for the slotted nut on
the drag link arm.
c. Install the fixing nut to connect the drag link arm with
the drag link. (refer to Chapter ST steering system-
steering gear–drag link, replacement)

13. Install the drum brake (refer to “Chapter BR Braking System- Service braking (pneumatic) - Front
Wheel Brake, Replacement”)
