g. Lift the steering knuckle assembly, rotate around the

steering knuckle king pin hole and Remove the steering
knuckle assembly. DI
Caution

When disassembling the steering knuckle, avoid impact EG
on the steering knuckle spindle head as far as possible.

h. Remove the thrust ball bearing and washer.

6. Inspecting and repairing the steering knuckle AX

a. Check the steering knuckle king pin if there is any
crack, scratch, pit, etc. If there is, replace the king pin. FR

b. At different points, measure the outer diagram of the
steering knuckle king pin. If the measured outer diagram ST
is lower than the wear limit, the king pin shall be
replaced.

Wear limit: φ37.9 mm BW
c. Check thrust ball bearing if there is any burn, peel,
pits, deformation and other defects. If there is, replace the EL
bearing.

d. At several different points, measure the out diagram of
the king pin and the inner diameter of the sleeve

individually. If the difference between these two

measured values (gap) is larger than the wear limit,

replace the king pin or the sleeve accordingly.
Maintenance criterion: φ . mm
