5. Installing the steering tie rod

a. Install the ball joints of the steering tie rod onto the

steering arms to both ends.

b. Mount and tighten the locking nuts of the ball joints.
Torque: 210~230N•m EG
Caution

Align the groove of hexagon to the ball pin hole to

facilitate the installation of split pin

c. Mount and lock the cotter pins of the locking nuts on

the steering arm ball joints.

6. Installing the steering drag link BW

a. From the internal side of the steering gear pitman arm,
mount one end of the drag link into the pitman arm. EL
b. Mount and tighten the hexagon slotted nut of the ball
joint.
Torque: 210~230N•m
Caution

Align the groove of hexagon to the ball pin hole to
facilitate the installation of split pin.

c. Mount and lock the cotter pin of the hexagon slotted
nut at the lower end of the pitman arm.
d. Use the same method to install the rear end of the
steering drag link.
