Brake system – service brake (air pressure) BR-53

d. Place the rear brake air chamber on the disassembly
rack. Use the jack to hold down the rear brake air
chamber. Remove the lock nut on the clamp of the rear DI
brake air chamber. Split the clamp, drop the jack, and
disassemble the rear brake air chamber. EG
Caution
• Do not push up the jack with excessive force to
prevent damaging the brake chamber TR
• Slowly lower the jack and disassemble when the
return spring in the rear brake air chamber is AX
restored to the free state.
Warning
FR
When the rear brake air chamber is disassembled,
special attention must be paid. Because the
pretightening force of the parking brake air chamber ST
is very big, the disassembly of the brake air chamber
must be done on its disassembly and assembly rack. BR
e. Punch out a lock pin in the adjusting nut with a punch.

f. Remove the adjusting nut.
g. Pull off the air pipe to allow the parking brake piston's
push rod to extend out and rotate it and remove the
diaphragm disc.
