BR-54 Brake system – service brake (air pressure)

h. Remove the brake disabling bolt.

i. Place the parking brake air chamber on its disassembly
and assembly rack and jack it up. Remove the connecting
bolt on the middle connecting body. Then, slowly lower
the jack and remove the cylinder sleeve and return spring.
Caution

The jack shall not be lifted with excessive force so as
to avoid damaing the brake chamber.

Warning
Because there is a strong spring pretightening force in
the parking brake air chamber, the disassembly and
assembly rack must be used to disassemble it.

j. Tilt the rear brake air chamber's connecting body and
take out the piston.

k. Remove the two oil wiper rings on both sides of the
seal ring on the piston.
Caution

The removed oil wiper ring shall be changed.
