WARRANTY POLICY & PROCEDURES MANUAL




                     PLEASE NOTE:  As a general principle of warranty “the Receptionist should never go beyond
                      the customer’s request” (with the exception of campaign work and/or a safety problem).

               2.11   Wear and Tear Parts

               Wear and Tear is defined as “the gradual reduction in operating performance or visual appearance of a
               component due to age.”

                     PLEASE NOTE: All wear and tear parts require Prior Warranty Approval (PWA).

               The following is a quick reference guide to how FOTON Warranty should be applied for wear and tear.
               It contains an overview of those items that are not covered or have limited coverage.

               Accessory Drive  Belts  -  are a wear and tear item. They are covered up to 20,000kms with a
               manufacturing defect evident (e.g. separation, tear, breakage.)

               Rattles and Squeaks - are covered by warranty for 3 months/3,000kms.

               Air Conditioning Gas - is considered maintenance when replenishing and is only covered by warranty
               if  associated with the replacement of an air conditioning item. Recharge with dye for diagnosis is not
               warrantable.

               Batteries - are covered for 6 months/10,000kms from the warranty start date – PWA required

               Brake Pads and Shoes - are a wear and tear item and are covered up to 20,000kms if the fault is due
               to a manufacturing defect and not driving style.

               Brake Rotors (Discs and Drums) - are a wear and tear item. They are covered up to 20,000kms for
               replacement. Run out readings are required for all warranty  claims. If  they run  out exceeds the
               manufactures specification, replace the affected part. PWA required with all readings.

               Brake Adjustment - is not covered by warranty.

               Brake and Clutch Bleeding - is not covered by warranty unless associated with the replacement of a
               brake component and is required as part of the repair.

               Clutch Friction Discs - are a wear and tear component. Replacement is covered up to 40,000kms with
               a technical report and due to a manufacturing defect.

               Filters (e.g. oil, fuel, air) - are a serviceable item and are not covered unless associated with another
               warranty repair.

               Window Glass - is not warrantable after delivery. Scratches in glass, delamination, discoloration, optical
               distortion, air bubbles are only warrantable prior to delivery.

               Hoses - are considered wear and tear for normal deterioration and are only covered by warranty for
               6-months/10,000kms.

               Globes  -  are considered  a  maintenance  item  when replacing  and are covered by warranty up  to
               3-months/3,000kms.

               Oils, Coolant and Fluids - are only claimable when associated with the replacement of the component.
               Where possible oil, coolant and other fluids should be re-used.
