                                                                                                                     These are our gods.  ,eò−ÑíGÍêíÓlÑê

                                                                                                        From this [we derive] that the riffraff  ëÔþëÓþѼÓLöêÖkÌô

                    ‘To your descendants I will give it.’ :íÖpÞÓòÐzÓê £EμÐþÔ ïÐñ                    and were the ones that made it (the Calf),  ,eíeêÖNμÓLóÑíÐî

                     2. I will send an angel before you, C¢ÖêÐñÔôE−£ÓòÖõÐñ−'ÌzÐìÔñÞÖLÐî.ë

          [35] Adonoy struck the people with a plague.  .íÈòÈä-úÆà'äóÉbÄiÇå [äì]                                    He built an altar—  .ÇçÅaÀæÄîïÆáÄiÇå
              [I.e.,] death at the hands of the Heavenly King,  óÌ−ÔôÖL−Ñð−ÌëíÖ³−Ìô                                 so as to stall them. 42  :óÖ³BìÐðÌñZ
                   [for those who sinned] before witnesses  ó−ÌðѼÐñ                                                    And he said,  ,àÈøÀ÷ÄiÇå
                     without having received a warning. 32  :íÖêÖþгÔíêGÐa                         tomorrow 43  will be a festival to Adonoy.  .øÞÈçÈî'äÞÇìâÇç

                            Therefore it says: “Go up.”  ;íÑñμþÔôÍêÓòCÖ×Ðñ                                      That is its plain meaning.  ;B¬eLÐõeíÓï
        An alternate explanation [for the expression: “Go up”]:  ,þÑìÔêþÖëÖc                                But its midrashic explanation is  BLÖþÐðÌôe
