 Yishmael was fourteen years older than Yitzchok 208  ,šÖìЮÌiÌôñêѼÖôÐLÌ− ñBðÖèíÖ−ÖííÖòÖL ð"−  As a result of committing murder  ,íÖì−Ì®ÐþÌa
 and Yitzchok was sixty when they were born,  ,óÖ³Bê ³ÓðÓñÐaíÖòÖL’½öÓašÖìЮÌ−Ðî  as it states:  :êÖô−ѳÐðíÖôÐk
 giving you seventy-four, [the age of Yishmael].  ,ð"¼ −Ñ þÎí  “For my soul is fatigued before the murderers.” 57  :ó−ÌèÐþBíÐñ−ÌLÐõÔòíÖõÐ−Ö¼−Ìk
 He lived a total of 137 years  ,ï"ñš e−Öíî−Ö³BòÐLe

 that he hid in the house of Eiver for fourteen years  íÖòÖL ð"− þÓëѼ³−ÑëÐaöÔôЬÌpÓL
               “A camel may not be force-fed [on Shabbos]  ñÖôÖbÔí³Óêö−̽ÐëBê ö−Ñê
 and afterwards went to Charan,  öÖþÖìÐñCÔñÖíCÔkþÔìÔêÐî
                      but food may be poured into him.”  :B³Bê ö−̬−̼ÐñÔôñÖëÎê
 for he had not yet been at Lavan’s house  öÖëÖñ³−ÑëÐaíÖíÖLêG−ÑþÎíÓL
                              Of this red [pottage].  .íÉãÈàÈäíÉãÈàÈäïÄî

                            On that day Avraham died  ,óÖíÖþÐëÔê³Ñô óBiÔí B³BêÐî

 and from then until Yaakov went down to Egypt  óÌ−ÔþЮÌôÐñëҚμÔ−ðÔþÖiÓLðÔ¼óÖMÌôe
                      God shortened his life by five years,  ,î−Ö³BòÐMÌôó−ÌòÖL’íí"ÖaÖwÔíþÑvÌš
 took nine years—seven years of plenty  ¼ÔëBN ñÓL ’ï ,ó−ÌòÖL’¬
                           for Yitzchok lived 180 years  íÖòÖL õ"š −Ô ìšÖìЮÌiÓL
 and two years of hunger.  ëÖ¼ÖþñÓL ’ëe
                          whereas, he [Avraham] 175.  ,í"¼š íÓïÐî
 [At that time] Yaakov said to Pharaoh:  íÒ¼ÐþÔõÐñþÔôÖêëҚμÔ−Ðî
                          [Thus,] Yaakov cooked lentils  ó−ÌLÖðμëҚμÔ−ñÑM−Ìëe
 “The years of my temporary residence  −ÔþeèÐô−ÑòÐ L−ÑôÐ−
                         as a first-meal for the mourner.  .ñÑëÖêÖí³Óê ³BþÐëÔíÐñ

                   Why [are] lentils [food for a mourner]?  ?ó−ÌLÖðμíÖnÖñÐî

                              for mourning is a wheel  ñÔbÐñÔb ³eñÑëÎêÖíÓL
