         10. Zilpah, Leah’s handmaid, bore Yaakov a son. :öÞÑaë'ҚμÞÔ−Ðñí£ÖêÑñ³'ÔìÐõÌLí§Ö tÐñÌïðÓñ †ÑzÔî.−  And this is [also the reference]  :eíÓïÐî

                “With Elohim’s bonds, I have been joined,”  ,−ÌzÐñÔzÐõÌòó−ÌíGÍê−ÑñezÐõÔò
                                                                                            [The answer is: if] it did not enter his [Yaakov’s] mind  d−ÑaÌñë−ÑíÖ−êÖñ eí−Ìê
                    [i.e., “I prayed] many prayers [to God]  ³BLÖwÔaíÖôÔk
                                                                                                   to pray in the place where his fathers prayed  ,î−Ö³BëÎê eñÐlÔtгÌíÓL óBšÖnÔañÑlÔtгÌíÐñ
                            that were pleasing to Him.  ;î−ÖòÖõÐñ ³Bë−ÌëÎìÔí
                                                                                                          then, should Heaven detain him?  !eíeëÐkÔ¼Ð−óÌ−ÔôÖMÔíöÌôe
                 I was accepted and my [prayers] answered  −ÌzÐþÔzмÓòÐî,−ÌzÐñÔaԚгÌò
                                                                                                      [Actually,] he had gone as far as Charan  ,ñÔïÎêöÖþÖìðÔ¼ eí−Ìê
                                    like my sister.”  :−̳BìÎêÔ×
                                                                                                     as is stated in the chapter Gid Hanasheh. 49  ;íÓLÖpÔíð−ÌbšÓþÓõÐaöÖò−ÌþÐôÖêÐðÌk
                                I have been joined.  .éÄzÀìÇzÀôÄð
                                                                                                            This is also evident in the verse:  :Ôì−Ì×Bô êÖþКe

                            except in regard to Zilpah,  ,íÖtÐñÌfÌô ±eì                                      and returned as far as Beis Eil  ,ñÑê³−ÑaðÔ¼þÔïÖìÐî
        because she was the youngest of all and a child in years  ,ó−ÌòÖLÔa³ÓšBò−̳ÐîöÖlekÌôíÖþeìÔëíÖ³Ð−ÖíÓL−ÌõÐñ  [whereupon] the ground “shrank” for him.  .±ÓþÖêÖíBñíÖ®ÐõÖšÐî

                       It was in order to deceive Yaakov  ,ëҚμÔ−Ðñ ³BnÔþÐñ−ÑðÐ×e                         but [the one near] Yerushalayim.  ,óÌiÔñÖLeþ−ÌñêÖlÓê
                           that Lavan gave her to Leah  ,íÖêÑñÐñöÖëÖñdÖòÖ³Ðò                             And because it was the City of God  ó−ÌíGÓê³−ÑaíÓ−ÐíÌ−óÑLñÔ¼Ðî

                that they were [really] bringing him Leah—  ,íÖêÑñ³ÓêBñö−̽−ÌòÐ×ÔnÓL                            It is [also] Mount Moriah  íÖiÌþBnÔíþÔí êeíÐî
                            for this was their custom—  èÖíÐòÌôCÔkÓL                                             where Avraham prayed  ,óÖíÖ þÐëÔêBañÑlÔtгÌíÓL
              to give the older handmaid to the older [sister]  íÖñBðÐbÔñíÖñBðÐbÔííÖìÐõÌLöÑz−Ìñ    and it is also the field where Yitzchok prayed  ,šÖìЮÌ−BañÑñÔtгÌíÓLíÓðÖN êeíÐî
           and the younger handmaid to the younger [sister].  :íÖpÔ¬ÐwÔñíÖpԬКe                     as is written: “To meditate in the field.” 52  ;íÓðÖOÔaÔìeNÖñë−̳Ð×ÌðÐk

                        [Meaning:] good luck has come,  ,ëB¬ ñÖfÔôêÖa                                 [concerning the verse] 54  “Let us ascend  íÓñμÔòÐî e×Ðñ"
                   as in, “Luck to my luck and tire not.” 141  ,êÖñ šeòÖ½Ðî−ÌcÔbðÔb :BôÐk                       to the Mountain of God 55  ’ð þÔíñÓê
