 for he is our brother, our own flesh.” êe¢íeò£ÑþÖNÐ ë eò−'ÌìÖê-−ÞÌk  “Aren’t your brothers pasturing [the sheep] ó−¤Ì¼Òþ·E−¶ÓìÔêêB¥ñÎí
 His brothers listened [to him.] :î−ÞÖìÓêe£¼ÐôÐLÌiÔî  in Shechem? ó flÓ×ÐLÌa

 Balsam.  .éÄøÀö  who had raised him [Yoseif] like his mother.  .BnÌêÐ× ezÔñÐcÌbÓL
 It is a sap that drips from balsam trees.  ,¹Ö¬ÐwÔí−ѮμÑô¹Ñ¬BpÔí¹ÖþÐN  However, our Sages learned from here 30  ,öêÔkÌôeðÐôÖñ eò−ѳBaÔþÐî
 It is [identical with] the ¹Ö¬Öò that is enumerated  íÓòÐôÌpÔí¹Ö¬Öò êeíÐî  that no dream is without meaningless things.  .ó−ÌñѬÐaó−ÌþÖëÐðêGÐa óBñÎìö−ÑêÓL
 with the spices of the incense [of the Temple].  :³ÓþB¬ÐwÔí−ÑòÖnÔ½ó̼  But Yaakov intended [by saying “Shall we come?”] 31  öîÑeÔkгÌòëҚμÔ−Ðî

 In Mishnaic Hebrew it is called êÖ³−̬Bñ. 51  :íÖòÐLÌô öBLÐñÌëBôÐLêÖ³−̬Bñ  so that they would not be jealous of him.  ,eíeêÐpÔšÐ−êHÓL
 Our Sages explained it as an herb root  ,ëÓNѼLÓþÒL eíeLÐþÑõ eò−ѳBaÔþÐî  He, therefore, said to him “Shall we come, etc.”  ,’îèî êBëÖò êBëÎí :Bñ þÔôÖêCÔ×Ðñ
 referred to as aristolochia in Maseches Niddah. 52  :íÖcÌò³Ó×ÓqÔôÐa íê"−ïîñîþ¬¾ê BôÐLe  [conveying:] “Just as it is impossible concerning your mother,  ,EÐnÌêÐaþÖLÐõÓê−ÌêÓLóÑLÐk
                 so is the rest [of the dream] meaningless.”  :ñѬÖë êeí þÖêÐMÔíCÔk
 [26] What gain?  .òÇöÆaäÇî [åë]
 [¼Ô®ÓaíÔô] what profit? as Onkelos translates it.  :BôebÐþÔ³Ðk ,öBôÖníÔô  [11] Kept the matter in mind.  .øÈáÈcÇäúÆàøÇîÈL [àé]
                     [I.e.,] he waited and looked forward  íÓtÔ®Ðôe ö−ÌzÐôÔôíÖ−Öí
 And cover up his blood.  .BîÈcúÆà eðéÄqÄëÀå
                     when it would come to be [fulfilled].  .êÒëÖ−−Ô³Öô
 [Meaning:] and we will conceal his death.  :B³Ö³−Ìô³Óê ó−ÌñмÔòÐî
       Similarly, “That look forward to the keeping of a promise,” 32  ,ó−ÌòeôÍêþÑôBL :öÑ×Ðî
 [27] They listened.  .eòÀîÀLÄiÇå [æë]  and similarly, “þBôÐL̳êG for my sin” 33  ,−̳êÖhÔìñÔ¼ þBôÐL̳êG:öÑ×Ðî
 [Meaning:] they agreed with him.  .d−ÑpÌô eñ−ÌaÔšÐî
                              [meaning:] do not wait.  :ö−ÌzÐôÔ³êG
 Everytime the term íÖ¼−ÌôÐL is used to mean agreement,  ó−ÌþÖëÐc³ÔñÖaÔšê−ÌíÓLíÖ¼−ÌôÐLñÖ×Ðî
                         [12] To pasture the sheep.  .ïàÉöúÆà úBòÀøÄì [áé]
 as in the case here,  ,íÓï öBèÐk
                          There are dots on the word ³Óê  ,³ÓêñÔ¼ ðešÖò
 and as in “Yaakov listened to his father.” 53  ,î−ÌëÖêñÓêëҚμÔ−¼ÔôÐLÌiÔî öBèÐ×e
      [indicating]thattheywentonlyto“pasture”themselves. 34  :öÖôЮԼ³Óê ³B¼ÐþÌñêÖlÓê e×ÐñÖíêHÓL
 [or] “We will do and we will obey,” 54  ,¼ÖôÐLÌòÐîíÓNμÔò
 Onkelos translates them as ñÑaÔšÐò.  .ñÑaÔšÐò:óÖbÐþe³Ðô  [13] “Here I am.” 35  .éÄðÅpÄä [âé]
 But, wherever it [íÖ¼−ÌôÐL] refers to hearing with the ear  .öÓïBêÖí³Ô¼−ÌôÐLê−ÌíÓLñÖ×Ðî  A term indicating humility and readiness.  ,³eï−ÌþÐïe íÖîÖòμ öBLÐñ
 such as “They heard the voice of God  ó−ÌíGÍê’íñBš³Óêe¼ÐôÐLÌiÔî ,öBèÐk  He was ready to fulfill his father’s command,  ,î−ÌëÖê³ÔîЮÌôÐñïÑþÖcÐïÌò
 traveling through the garden,” 55  ,öÖbÔaCÑlÔíгÌô
 [or] “And Rivkah heard,” 56  ,³Ô¼ÔôBL íÖšÐëÌþÐî  30  I.e., from the fact that the dream indicated that Rochel, too, would come to bow before him.  31  Though he knew
