                    The simple explanation of the verse is  :êÖþКÌôñÓL B¬eLÐõe                  He said, “I rejoiced and made everyone joyful.”  .ñÒkÔí³Óê−ÌzÐìÔn−ÌNÐî−ÌzÐìÔôÖN :Bñ þÔôÖê
                       that He shut the door before him  BcÐèÓòÐkþÔèÖ½                              So he asked him, “But, did you not realize  Ô ¼ÑðB− Ö³−Ì−ÖíêGÐî :Bñ þÔôÖê
                                 against the waters.  ,óÌ−ÔnÔíöÌô                                           that he would eventually die?”  ?³eôÖñ BõBqÓL
               Similarly, every time ðÔ¼Ða appears in Scripture  êÖþКÌnÔaÓLðÔ¼ÐañÖköÑ×Ðî        He [the gentile] responded, “At the time of joy  êÖ³ÖîÐðÓì³Ô¼ÐLÌa :Bñ þÔôÖê
                     has the meaning of ðÓèÓòÐk—in front of,  :êeí ðÓèÓòÐk öBLÐñ                                       let there by joy,  ,êÖ³ÖîÐðÓì
                       [as in] “In front of every womb,” 91  ,óÓìÓþñÖkðÔ¼Ða                             at the time of mourning, mourning.”  .êÖñÐëÓêêÖñÐëÓê³Ô¼ÐLÌa
           “In front of yourself and in front of your children,” 92  ,CÌ−ÔòÖaðÔ¼Ðëe CÑðμÔa  He [the Rabbi] said to him, “So it is with acts of God.  ,í"ÖaÖwÔííÑNμÔôCÔk :Bñ þÔôÖê
                              “Skin in front of skin,” 93  ,þB¼ ðÔ¼Ða þB¼                                     Though it is revealed to Him  ,î−ÖòÖõÐñ −eñÖbÓL−ÌtñÔ¼¹Ôê
                             “A shield in front of me” 94  ,−ÌðμÔaöÑèÖô                                      that they will eventually sin  êB¬ÎìÔñöÖõBqÓL
                        “Pray in front of your servants” 95  ,E−ÓðÖëμðÔ¼ÐañÑlÔtгÌí                      and be destroyed, [nevertheless,]  ,öÖðÐëÖêÐñe
            [meaning:] opposite [on behalf of] your servants.  :E−ÓðÖëμðÓèÓòÐk                        He did not refrain from creating them  öÖêÐþÖëÐlÌô¼ÔòÐôÌòêG
                        [17] It rose above the earth.  .õÆ øÈàÈäìÇòÅîíÈøÈzÇå [æé]                             for the sake of the righteous  ó−Ìš−ÌcÔvÔíñ−ÌëÐLÌa
             It [the ark] was immersed eleven cubits in water  íÖnÔêíÑþÐNÓ¼³ÔìÔêóÌ−ÔnÔëíÖ³Ð−Öí³Ô¼ÔweLÐô  that were destined to descend from them. 360  :óÓíÑô ðBôμÔñó−Ìð−̳μÖí
                                  like a loaded ship  íÖòe¼Ð¬íÖò−ÌõнÌk                        [7] Adonoy said, I will obliterate mankind.  .íÈãÈàÈäúÆàäÆçÀîÆà'äøÆîàÉiÇå [æ]
                      that is partially immersed in water.  .óÌ−ÖnÔadֳ֮КÌô³Ô¼ÔšeLÐôÔí             “He is of dirt. I will bring water upon him  óÌ−Ôô î−ÖñÖ¼ê−ÌëÖêÐîþÖõÖ¼ êeí
