REVIEW OF THE EXISTING INFRASTRUCTURE AND UTILITIES

            Electricity

Isabela Electric Cooperative (ISELCO I) is the main service provider of Isabela State University. In Addition, there is an existing Climate Change

Center-Education Research and Development inside Isabela State University-Echague
Campus which is a CHED assisted program which spells ISU’s contribution towards generating climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies.

This facility is designed with solar panels on its roof generating enough power sources to supply electricity to some parts of the campus. It is a good
start having this kind of facility inside the campus leading to a sustainable environment.

Additional installation of solar panel inside the university is highly recommended. The use of solar energy as energy source will provide Isabela State
University energy security and independence. Since the ISU is known as center for climate change adaptation strategies it should explore and include

to future designs the use of different types of renewable energy such as wind, water and solar. It could have streetlights powered by solar energy. Solar
trellis installed in waiting sheds or over vegetable plots is also a good move.
