1-5-1 Classification According to the Affiliation
    Commercial restaurants could be classified according to its

affiliation into: multiunit restaurants and independent
restaurants”.

      Multiunit food service operations are divided into chains
and franchised restaurants according to its organizational
forms.

    Franchise restaurants: franchise is an arrangement
   between two parties; the franchisor and the franchisee. The
   franchisor grants the franchisee rights to sell certain goods
   and services, to use various logos and promotional items,
   and to participate in national media campaigns. The
   franchisor must agree to maintain corporate standards and
   image in order to preserve the business agreement.

    Chains of restaurants: the chain, that a group of
   restaurants are owned or managed by company and consists
   of 3 or more units.

      Chain is found more often in fast food or limited menu
operations rather than in full service restaurants. Chains have
six advantages or strengths points over independent restaurants:
