their own machines and began to produce. And now with the help
          and solidarity of artists and the people, they are holding a fashion
          show. Though with limited means, the fashion show is the product
          of solidarity.

               The fashion show started at 6 pm on 28 September. Turkan

          Albayrak of the DIH acted as the presenter of the fashion show.
          The first on the stage was Teneke Trampet Muzik (“Tin Trumpet
          Music”). After that, Behic Asci from the DIH law commission
          made a short speech. He noted that the resistance was not only
          about what was owed to the workers, it was also resistance for ho-
          nour and resistance would grow and develop.  After Behic Asci,
          Kazova textile workers spoke, saying that the resistance would
          henceforth  take  a  cooperative  form,  cheap  and  good  quality
          sweaters would be produced for the people, and the workers would

          produce in order to advance their own goals.

               After the Kazova workers Savas Dogan from the Sisli munic-
          ipal workers and Ridvan Caliskan from Besiktas municipality de-
          scribed both yellow trade unionism in their own municipalities
          and solidarity with the Kazova textile workers.

               Later Meral Akyurek spoke about the Rozateks workers resist-

          ing  and  winning  under  the  leadership  of  the  DIH.  And  she
          saluted the resistance of the Kazova workers and touched on the
          need for the working class to resist the injustice and theft of par-
          asitical bosses in order to win.

               After the speeches by workers, the sweaters produced by Ka-
          zova workers themselves were modelled. Among the artists who
          did the modelling were Pelin Batu, Nilufer Acikalin, Mehmet
