The Kazova workers took part in a forum at 8 pm on Thurs-
day 26 September in Beykoz Pasabahce. The people of Pasabahce
had named the park after Ahmet Atakan who had been killed by
the police in Hatay during the people’s uprising, and at the inau-
guration the floor was given to Kazova workers. After first describ-
ing the dimensions of the resistance, they said it had now reached

the stage of production. The workers said today’s sales would go
to support the treatment of Kemal Avci who had developed cancer
in prison and had been released after a long struggle.

Today production had reached the point where a cooperative
needed to be founded. Various forms of resistance were men-
tioned in the forum, and alternative production relations created
considerable enthusiasm among the people and many had some-
        thing to say.

About 80 people took part and the forum finished at 10:30,
        and 24 seaters were sold.

resistance is moving from wanting to get what is theirs to the work-
ers producing for themselves. Henceforth they are going beyond

wages, seniority and notice for themselves and are producing
cheap and good quality sweaters for the people. The Kazova work-
ers have learned from the solidarity they have received and are
bringing solidarity to life. In a week, one day’s sales are set aside
for Kemal Avci, while one day’s sales go to Berkin Elvan. More-

earthquake. The Kazova workers occupied their factory, repaired
