resistance. I came today as well to give support. I think the Kazova
resistance is a very important and very good experience for the
working class in Turkey. A process run and administered by the
workers. A struggle conducted by the workers. Historically speak-
ing we see it as a resistance that has created production on several
occasions. One bitter aspect. The unions are not involved really.
I would have liked to see DISK here. Following the Gezi resistance,
I would like to thank the workers for such an inspiring action.
Cengiz Bozkurt: We are the ones who produce, and we will
also be the ones who rule. Here this is not merely a slogan but it
has become reality. When we heard about it we came running.
Sukran Sakir (retired): I have heard about this resistance for
a long time. Today I was able to come. This is a very important ex-
ample from the point of view of working class history in Turkey.
It is possible for us to win by means of solidarity. I am here because
I am conscious of it. Solidarity can also be imparting production
and technical knowledge. For the time being we have put in orders
for sweaters. This is a concrete example of working class solidarity.
Ahmet Kazan (worker): This is an uprising against capitalism.
Behaviour that serves as a model. We saw this before in 1928. But
capital did not allow that resistance. Len said, turning theory into
practice, that the workers can win power. Because the workers en-
sure their existence from day to day by selling their labour. These
words have been put into practice here.
Ali Ertan: It is very important for the workers to struggle in
this way. It is a very good example of the gains that can be made
from engaging in resistance. It is a very positive thing that it flows
