Two friends came from Izmir for the holiday. Because of mis-
taken information new put on the Internet they thought the event
we were holding would be today. We told them we had corrected
it but they had not seen the correction. We apologised for the mis-
take.

In the afternoon the TAYAD families visited to mark the hol-
iday. We drank tea and chatted with them. Then friends came
from Idil Culture Centre.

Two of our friends came to reserve sweaters for the Tatavla
forum and they helped to put up hangers. Towards evening they
went into the kitchen and prepared green lentils and bulgur. We
ate our evening meal together. Afterwards we drank tea and chat-

ted until late.

17 October 2013 Thursday

Today we were invited to breakfast at the resistance tents of
the Resisting Beltas workers, situated in front of the Besiktas mu-
nicipality building at 10 in the morning. We had breakfast and
marked the holiday together with our friends and visitors. Imme-
diately after breakfast we would return to the tent. Because at 2
pm we would hold our own event at our tent. But we waited a

little longer, as the Beltas workers who would be making breakfast
had a problem with the local military police and the police who
might intervene. But there was no intervention. We said farewell
to our friends. When we got to the tent at 2 pm it was quite
crowded there. The weather was rainy so we showed hospitality to
the crowd inside the ground floor of the building. Together we
drank tea, sang songs and danced the halay. Two of our friends
