Today the weather was sunny. We spent the day talking with
people who visited. Some of those who came had heard about us
in social media, some had been told by friends. They were curious
so they wanted to visit. We gave tours of the factory and described

how things had been with us. Then we drank tea with them and
chatted.

In the afternoon our friends brought pleasing news. Finally,
after a long period of waiting we had found somewhere suitable.
Yes, we will move. The day is not yet certain but it will be in the
near future. We have taken a step forward to establishing a coop-
erative.

23 October 2013 Wednesday

Today is a day of action for us. After breakfast other friends
came. At 12 noon we took part in a sit-down action in support of
the DIH and the imprisoned lawyer Taylan Tanay and Berna Yil-
maz who had imprisoned and then thrown out of work by the
DISK and Genel-Is unions. Later we took our banner and
marched from the front of Sisli mosque to the factory, chanting
slogans. Everyone in the area knows us now. We were applauded

from windows and people wave from now on. We gave our visitors
tea and we chatted.

Today a letter came from Edirne F-Type’s Free Prisoners.
“However separated we are physically, in our hearts we are with
you” they said, wishing us success. The letter made us very happy
and inside were three wristbands they had made as well as a small
model of a saz (a musical string instrument in Turkey, like a man-
