Interviews with Kazova workers…

Kazova workers talk about their resistance:

Our resistance will continue until we get our rights!

We publish here an interview with the Kazova Trikotaj work-
ers who have been resisting for some time since January 2013 after
being thrown out of work without their wages and their rights to

          seniority.

Yuruyus (magazine): Can you introduce yourself?

Bulent Unal: My name is Bulent Unal. I was born in Kasta-
monu in 1976. I have been a textile worker for 10 years. I have
been working for a year at Kazova, as someone who keeps track of
          accessories.

Yuruyus: Why are you resisting? Can you tell us what you ex-

          perienced?

Bulent Unal: We were thrown out of work on 31 January
2013 with being four months of wages, seniority and notice. The
people in charge of the workplace issued no statement, they just
removed materials from the workplace and disappeared. For weeks
we could not make contact. I have become a supporter of occupy-
ing the factory. Because I do not think we will get our rights

through a court. This suggestion has not been accepted.

I did not know the other friends too well as I am the only
one working in my department and I am a new worker. There was
no decision in the end. Weeks later the friends got in touch saying
