We tell our guests about what happened during the period
of resistance. They take some sweaters and say they will continue
their solidarity.

A woman who is working as a doctor and is from the German

MLPD (Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany) comes, as well as a
woman doctor from Turkey. Also a friend of ours from Turkey but
living in the Czech Republic comes along accompanied by a Czech
friend. We converse and they take some sweaters. We are invited
to a cartoon competition organised by the (translator’s note: pre-
sumably local) parliament about work safety. We send two friends.
We talk about what we have been through and sweater sales are

made. Today our guests include members of the Kadikoy SODID
(Social Solidarity and Communication) association. We give some
tea and they ask what they can do in the way of solidarity. We hear
this question from nearly all of our guests. We are proud to have
created such a feeling of solidarity with our just and honourable
struggle.

An intensive day. Lots of people came who were curious and
wanted sweaters. We explained to them one by one what we had

been through.

Today we were invited to the Avcilar forum. We took part in
that in the evening and we offered sweaters for sale. We gave in-
formation about our resistance and those who were curious asked
us questions. They were particularly curious about how we would
set up a cooperative. We stressed that we wanted to produce for
