come, together with the director and lawyer Metin Yegin, in order
to share their experience of resistance and occupations and to gain
more information about our resistance.

2 October 2013 Wednesday

Again we woke up to a rainy day in Istanbul. To protect our-

selves from the rain we strengthened the tent with some canvas.
Today, as on every Wednesday, we marched from Sisli mosque to
our resistance tent. At 1 pm on the square we met the general sec-
retary and workers of DISK Nakliyat-Is who came to support us.
We marched in quite a crowd to the factory in Bomonti, carrying
our banners. On the way people in passing cars and local busi-
nesses showed their support for the rightfulness of our struggle by

applauding us. In front of our resistance tent the Nakliyat general
secretary Ali Riza Kucukosmanoglu told of the success and signif-
icance of our resistance and said he would be in solidarity with it
to the end. Later workers passed in front of our factory with ban-
ners bearing the inscriptions “The unity of the workers will defeat
capitalism” and “Kazova workers are not alone, we are workers,
we are right, we will win”. The action was also joined by DISK Is-
tanbul region representative and general secretary of Bank-Sen,
Onder Atay.

Today visits continue from our friends coming to give us sup-
port. The lawyers of “Ozgur Gelecek” (translator’s note: “Free Fu-
ture”, a Maoist publication in Turkey) prisoners in Tekirdag come.
We converse with them and they take some sweaters for the pris-
oners. As is the case every day we have visits from a number of
university students. We tell them all about what has been going
on and our resistance. In the evening workers from Besiktas mu-
