chanted.

Quite a lot of members of the press, including Nur Suer and
Deniz Turkali, were present. University teachers, Revolutionary
Muslims, SDP and a number of friends we could not count or

whose names we could recollect also did not abandon us.

Finally Grup Yorum came on stage. When they played folk
songs and marches, halays were danced on either side of the stage.
Nor did we forget Berkin Elvan who was injured by a gas canister
during the popular uprising and had been in a coma for three
months. The slogans “Berkin Elvan is our honour” and “Berkin,
Kazova is with you” were chanted in the Bomonti streets. Grup

Yorum’s “Buyu” song for Berkin was sung by Davut abi and by his
six-year-old son Boran. The song affected all of us. Later all workers
came out onto the stage and sang “We are right, we will win” with
Grup Yorum, ending the programme.

Today all of us are a little tired after the intensive work in-
volved in the fashion show yesterday.

We sent one of our friends in the afternoon to a forum to
take place in Bursa.

Arzu Cerkesoglu and Volkan Yarasir will take part in a forum
in Bursa’s Osmangazi monument park which will also be joined
by the Fenis workers. They have recently occupied their own fac-
tory. The panel took place in the open air and the speeches gen-
erally dealt with workers’ resistance and the struggle was also
