importance of the resistance. They had seen that in recent days
there was even an increase in the number of our visitors. What
could we do when young people came visiting from a number of
universities? They asked us what they could do for us. Today they
came from ITU, YTU, Mimar Sinan, Bogazici and Istanbul uni-
versities. We learned that they would give information in their

universities about our fashion show and they took sweaters.

The head and members of the KESK-BES trade union visited
today. They said they would come again and expressed their soli-
darity.

We prepared for our march from Mecidiyekoy to Sisli and at
6 pm we left the tent. At half six we hung up the resistance photos

and posters with the announcement “Kazova workers call for sol-
idarity”. Then we marched hand in hand in a chain. The people
around us showed great interest. Some applauded, some waved
their hands. We read out our statement in front of Sisli mosque,
ended our action and returned to the tent.

Again we started a day whose tempo we knew would be brisk.
On the one hand, we were preparing for the fashion show tomor-
row, on the other we had the day’s work.

Today like every day a number of university students visited
us. Some took sweaters. Students at Bogazici said they had sold
all the sweaters they had taken there and wanted more.

The branch chairman of Hizmet-Is union which is part of the
Hak-Is confederation and workers came and expressed support for
