be able to remove the Hey textile workers from the squares. In our
tent and in the squares we will continue our resistance until we
obtain our rights from our bosses Aynur and Sureyya Bektas.”

Last the Kazova workers read out their statement:

“Kazova Trikotaj boss Umit Somuncu followed the cheap, dis-

honest and illegal method for closing factories that has become
fashionable in recent years. For years he exploited his workers,
showed them no respect, when their work finished he threw them
on the road like a scrap of paper, and got into the habit of coercing
the workers, then Umit Somuncu and his son Mustaf Umut So-
muncu confiscated four or five months of wages, seniority and no-
          tice and closed the factory.

Factory assets were confiscated right and left by their relatives

and friends while they claimed ‘we have nothing on us, no money’

them by the collar for not respecting the workers.”

After shouting slogans, the 90 people present announced that
they would be back next week and ended the action.
