Move into the open, away from buildings, streetlights and utility wires.
Once in the open, stay there until the shaking stops.

                                               RESPONSE: AFTER AN EARTHQUAKE

 Stay calm, and advise Team Members and Guests to do the same.
 Call 911 to report any damage and assistance needed. Help the injured. Do not move seriously injured
                persons. Ask others for help.
 Leave the building as soon as possible after the shaking ends. Refrain from re-entering the building
until told to do so. This is especially important if your store has suffered major structural damage.
 Be prepared for aftershocks. Aftershocks can occur hours, days or weeks after the initial quake.
 Stay at the location until the authorities say it is safe to move about the city/neighborhood.

 Be aware of possible tsunamis in coastal areas. When local authorities issue a tsunami warning,
assume that a series of dangerous waves are on the way. If your store is near the shoreline, expect
flooding if the tsunami forms and evacuate immediately if mandated by authorities.
 As soon as Guests and Team Members are safe, contact the Crisis Hotline for direction and next steps,
which will include walking the GM through the “Post-Storm Cleanup” section of this Guide.
