               -------- ------------ --------------------------------
                 3 c fresh cranberries
1 can crushed pineapple in juice -- 15 1/4 ounces or more
                 1 apple -- finely chopped
                 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
                 1 tsp grated lemon rind
                 1 Tbsp butter
                 1 pack Sure-Jel
                 3 c sugar
                 1 c walnuts -- chopped

Mix fruits, juice, butter and rind in large pot. Stir in Sure-Jel and
bring up to a boil continuing to stir. Cook until cranberries are popping.
Add sugar all at once. Stirring, bring back up to a full rolling boil
(one that will not "stir down") and boil one full minute.

Remove from heat, skim if necessary (butter usually prevents foaming) and
stir in nuts. Pour into hot sterile jars, seal and process in boiling
               water bath five minutes.

Look for the darkest colored berries you can find for the prettiest end
               result.
