“I LOVE YOU MORE, SWEETHEART.

Large Aircraft
INSIDE THE CABIN (10:29 HOURS)
“Ding,” the warning lights come on.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we’ll be touching down in fifteen minutes.”
“Ding --” again -- the warning lights come on. “Cabin crew, prepare for landing
please.” The Captain continues, “cabin crew, please take your seats for landing.”
Soon, the expansive 189-standard-leather-seat aircraft begins a slow and
steady descend. Alonzo stares out of the window in awe as the airplane, previously
cruising at 530 MPH and altitude of 39,000 feet, hovers in a near-circular descent.
Suddenly, in a matter of minutes, the clouds give way -- exposing the mountains, the
water, and portions of the Island’s 20 miles of pearly-white-sand beaches. As he
admires the beauty of the island, while securely strapped to seat 24-A, his mind
slowly wanders to Yvette -- praying and hoping -- she’s well and focusing on her
studies. However, his wandering thoughts were interrupted when a female voice
permeates the PA. She’s the chief flight attendant.
“Ladies and gentlemen, as we start our descent, please make sure your seat
backs and tray tables are in their full upright position ...” The Chief Flight Attendant
