“Oh, Dad, these are fabulous. I love them.”
“Fabulous ... Thought you would, Sweetheart.”
“Yes, the sun dress is beautiful. So are the sandals too. Thanks, Al.”
“You’re both welcome. I’m terribly sorry, Mia. Didn’t realize you would be
spending Spring Break --”
“That’s alright, Dad. Mia can have Tie-Dye V-neck sleeveless knotted dress
while I keep this Cut-out neck, self-tie waist sun dress.”
“You sure, Evie?”
“Of course, Mia.”
“Thank you.”
“Thanks, Sweetheart.” Alonzo reaches his breast pocket and retrieves a
necklace. “Sweetheart, I believe this will go well with your sun dress and sandals.”
Yvette turns, lifts the braids off her shoulders, and anxiously awaits; then
Alonzo places and clasps the necklace.”
“Thanks, Dad. These are well coordinated.”
“You’re quite welcome. I love you, Sweetheart.”
“I love you more, Dad.” She hugs him.
