At 11:51 PM, the bus pulls into Alexandria Bus Terminal. The passengers,
except for Alonzo, disembark for refreshments and bathroom break.
Back inside the bus, Josh walks up to Alonzo. “Let’s go get something to eat ...
My treat.”
“Thanks, Josh --"
“-- You’re welcomed ... I know you’d do the same for me if the situation was
reversed.”
“Yes, of course. Thanks, Josh.” Alonzo gets on his feet, gets out of his seat, and
steps behind Josh as they step down from the bus.
Later – inside the Bus Terminal Restaurant, At the counter, Josh pays for both
sandwiches, two twenty-ounce beverages, and a candy bar for his snack.
“Thirteen dollars and ninety-six cents, Sir,” the Restaurant Cashier informs
Josh.
“Here you go, ma’am. In separate bags, please,” Josh hands her a twenty-dollar
bill.
“Your change, Sir. Six dollars and four cents.”
“Thank you,” Josh takes both bags. He steps away from the counter and waits
for Alonzo to return from using men’s room.
