as well as says “Good Byes,” before taking his leave. First, he takes a cab to the Storage
Facility for the rest of his possessions; then the Cabbie takes him to the Bus Station.
Outside the Bus Terminal – Lafayette – Night
Promptly, Alonzo arrives well ahead of the departure time specified in the
email. The Cabbie assists with unloading of his three-piece luggage.
“Thank you, my friend” and slips him a Lincoln bill.
“Thanks, Al. And have a safe trip.”
Inside the Bus Terminal -- Lobby
Inside, there’s a short queue, and Alonzo waits for his turn. Soon, he proceeds
to the Cashier’s window with his luggage and a laptop carrying case. “Hello, I’m
heading to Kansas City.”
“Do you have your Confirmation number?”
“Yes, it’s right here on my smartphone.”
The Cashier takes and glances at the smartphone. “Your bus doesn’t leave for
another hour.”
“Okay, thank you.”
Half-an-hour later, the Cashier calls out, “Alonzo. Where’s Alonzo?”
