When Alonzo returns, he hands over the bags, so he could go to the wash
room.
A few minutes later, Josh returns, and takes the heavier bag from Alonzo; then
utters, “Bon appétit.”
“Merci beaucoup, mon Amie.”
“Okay, whatever that means --" face rumples.”
“-- Thank you very much, my friend.”
With a smile, “oh, in that case, you’re welcome.”
Both men exit the restaurant, board the bus, and take their seats; then wait as
the other passengers’ trickle in. And they settle to munching their sandwiches.
Soon, the door closes, the driver starts the bus, slowly pulls out, and heads on
to Shreveport.
The bus was quiet for the next thirteen hours until the Driver gradually and
safely pulls into Ft. Smith, Arkansas (AR) Bus Terminal.

Josh taps Alonzo gently, “this is my stop.”
Getting on his feet, “thanks, my friend. Here’s an old business card.”
