meeting or be subject to withdrawal of privileges as stated in the Alpha
Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Constitution and Bylaws, and the
Manual of Standard Procedures.
ARTICLE VI: STANDING COMMITTEES
Section 1. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Executive Committee shall consist of all elected and appointed
officers of Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter and the immediate past
Basileus, who shall serve a one-year term as a Member-at-Large. This
committee shall meet prior to each regular meeting of the chapter and
shall consider all phases of the chapter's operation. Special meetings
shall be called by the Basileus upon the request of five (5) members of
the Executive Committee. Nine (9) members shall constitute a quorum.
This committee shall assist the Basileus in carrying out the affairs of the
chapter. It shall be empowered to act officially between regular chapter
meetings. Any action taken by the Executive Committee between regular
chapter meetings must be submitted to the body for ratification. The
committee may not modify or change any action previously taken by the
chapter.
Section 2. BYLAWS COMMITTEE
The Bylaws Committee shall consist of the Parliamentarian as
chairperson, the Grammateus as secretary, and other Sorors appointed
by the Basileus. The committee shall propose needed changes in the
Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter bylaws; incorporate changes adopted at
Boule; examine proposed amendments by Sorors; and, formulate same
for circulation.
Section 3. AUDIT COMMITTEE
The Audit Committee shall consist of five (5) Sorors appointed by the
basileus and approved by the Executive Committee to serve a two-year
