Section 6. STANDARDS COMMITTEE

The Standards Committee shall report the evaluation of the chapter and
its programs at the December meeting. The evaluation shall follow the
guidelines from Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Section 7. PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE

The Public Relations Committee shall be chaired by the Reporter to the
Ivy Leaf. It shall have the responsibility of communicating noteworthy
activities of the chapter to the national organ and to local news media.

Section 8. FINANCE COMMITTEE

The Finance Committee shall prepare a proposed itemized budget for the
next year's operation and present it to the chapter at the September
meeting. The proposed budget shall be acted upon at the November
meeting. All non-budgeted requests of $500.00 or more shall be reviewed
by the committee, less than $500.00 will be reviewed by the Finance
chairperson before submittal to the membership. The committee shall
promote and/or support current fundraising activities. It shall be
responsible for originating and administering a program of investments.

Section 9. FOUNDERS’ DAY COMMITTEE

The Founders’ Day Committee shall include among its members the
graduate advisors and a minimum of two members from each
undergraduate chapter sponsored by Alpha Kappa Omega Chapter.
This committee may work jointly with the other local graduate and
undergraduate chapters in planning and implementing the Founders’
Day observance.

Section 10. JOINT CHAPTER COMMITTEE

This committee shall coordinate at least two activities involving the
undergraduate chapters and Alpha Kappa Omega. Members of the
