3.2 Phone Calls to Customer contact (Outbound Calling)
The purpose of phones calls being logged into Dynamics can cover many reasons varying from
1) Making quick notes from the phone conversation
2) Memory jogger of the phone call / conversation
3) What was the conversation regarding i.e. Sales Pipeline?
4) Follow up with contact
a. Task
b. Phone call
c. Email
5) And who the follow up needs to be with
3.3 Creating Tasks
If you were to look at the meaning of Tasks it basically means a
definite piece of work assigned to, falling to, or expected of a person
In the past tasks were often scribbled down on a notepad or something that you strived to remember
to do by memory. Creating tasks in Dynamics gives you the flexibility and functionality we have never
had before.
1) The ability to have all your tasks available on your mobile devices that prompt you with
alerts of upcoming tasks
2) Ability to review your tasks by association such as
a) Accounts
b) Sales Pipelines
c) Contacts
3) The ability to create tasks and assign them to other people
3.3 Emails
Dynamics along with Dynamics 365 app within Outlook offer you the ability to create, track & respond to
emails while at the same time logging them against a customer, contact or sales pipeline. This ability gives the
user a unique way of archiving emails within Dynamics. This gives the user a far more efficient way of
reviewing their sent and received emails for their customers
Emails can also be created from the following
1) Accounts
2) Sales pipeline
3) Contacts
