but will be disciplined as the Company deems appropriate, up to and including
termination of employment.
Exempt Employees
Exempt employees are paid a weekly salary that is not dependent on the quantity of the
work performed. Exempt employees are not entitled to overtime compensation as their
salaries already take into account that they sometimes work long hours. No deduction
will be made from an exempt employee’s salary except as provided by law.
TIPS
Amy’s Drive Thru is a restaurant concept that does not promote or accept customer
appreciation of a financial nature (tips). Any customer offering a tip for exceptional
service should courteously be advised of our policy but appreciation in the form of kind
words should be noted. Should a customer or guest be persistent in offering a tip,
please immediately contact the manager in charge of the shift.
YOUR PAYCHECK
Workweek and Paydays
For payroll purposes, the workweek starts on Monday morning and ends on Sunday
night.
Paychecks are available at the Restaurant every other Friday (Payday) outside of peak
business hours (11:00 am to 2:00 pm or 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm). After Payday, you may
pick up your paycheck during the same hours. Please understand that it may be difficult
for anyone to be available to obtain your paycheck during peak business hours. In the
event of vacation or other Payday absences, you should make alternate arrangements
to obtain your paycheck.
Payroll Deductions
There are certain deductions from your paycheck, which we are required to make by
law. Your pay stub itemizes the deductions made from your gross earnings. Federal or
state laws require that we make deductions for Social Security, Federal Income Tax,
State Income Tax, where applicable, State Disability Insurance and Family Temporary
Disability Insurance, where applicable, and any other legally mandated taxes or
deductions. In addition, there may be deductions for items that you personally
authorize, such as your contribution for health insurance.
