Group 6: Interactive Scenarios

              26. Symbols
“I’m driving my 2009 H3 along pretty much minding my own business and life is good.
Then all of a sudden I notice this thing on my navigation system screen. What is this thing
that looks like a pie with one slice cut out of it at the six o’clock position?”
The agent should search for the 2009 HUMMER H3 manual and go to the section called
                 Features and Controls>Symbols.
The answer is: “Your vehicle is shown as this symbol. It indicates the current position of
                 your vehicle on the map.”

              27. Entering an Address
“I have a 2009 HUMMER H3 and I have been trying to enter an address but it isn’t taking. I
type in N Civic Center Drive but it doesn’t work. Can you help me with this?”
The agent should search for the 2009 HUMMER H3 manual and go Features and
                 Controls/Destination> Address.
The answer is: “the street name N Civic Center Drive should be entered as Civic_Center.
The system searches for an entry exactly as entered. If a space is not included between
words where necessary, the system may not be able to find the desired location.”

              28. Adaptive Voice Volume Control
“I have a 2009 HUMMER H3. I notice that the voice on my navigation system gets louder
when I go above a certain speed. I find this annoying. Can you tell me how to stop the
                 volume from going up?”
The agent should search for the 2009 Hummer H3 manual and go to Navigation Menu>
Voice Volume - Adaptive Voice Volume Control and explain how the function can be
                 turned off.

              29. Voice Recognition
“I have a 2008 Grand Prix. I’m heading down the freeway. It’s a nice sunny day. I have the
window rolled down so I can feel the wind in my hair. The only problem is my voice
recognition isn’t catching what I say very well. I don’t see what’s wrong I’m doing
everything the same as I did yesterday when it was raining and it did work. Can you help
                 me with this?”
The agent should search for the 2008 Grand Prix manual and go to the Voice Recognition
                 section.
The answer is: Roll up the windows when you want to talk to the navigation system using
voice recognition. “The system may not hear you or may hear the incorrect word with the
windows open or the convertible top down due to background noise.”

                                                                                                                      Page84
