Chapter 2

                                                      Employment

             Policy

The hiring of an employee will be based on appropriate job-related needs. A vacancy is, whenever possible,
staffed for a candidate from within the Company whose qualifications and competency levels are suitable for
the role. If a suitable internal candidate cannot be found, the Company will then recruit from outside.

             Procedures

The process of recruitment and selection will be carried out with transparency, integrity and fairness to all
candidates. Normally, the appointment of an employee can be done under the following conditions

                1. The number of employee in the department is less than the approved manpower plan or
                2. A new position is created or added to the existing plan.
                3. The recruitment and selection process will follow the HR process workflow, with at least 2 approvals
required prior to each hiring decision.

                4. All candidates must be assessed and evaluated for the most appropriate fit to the role based on
competencies required for that particular vacancy by using competency based Interview Evaluation
Form, and role specification tests. Meanwhile, the recruitment and selection process will follow the HR
process workflow, with at least 2 approvals required prior to each hiring decision.

Any department that wishes to appoint a new employee or to replace an employee who has resigned shall
create the recruitment requisition and get the approval to proceed with the selection of the qualified candidate.

Certain positions may require a financial guarantee and/or work guarantee for the reason of security during
the employee’s service. A new employee in a position requiring a guarantee / guarantor will be notified and
asked to provide the appropriate documentation before starting work.
