stress and pressure. At the same time, the results can be submitted
in the form of an expert report in compliance with the law. It can also
be used to draw up an action plan, determine areas for action and
derive training areas in order to design a project plan for the PE
                              department.
Of course, workplace conditions should not and must not lead to
avoidable stress situations and burdens. This is why stress
prevention is the focus of the tool, which can be used to identify
critical areas of activity that can cause stress and the individual stress
levels of managers and employees at an early stage so that
appropriate countermeasures can be taken. In addition, mistakes,
exhaustion syndromes and burn-out can be prevented.
RELIEF has also proven its worth, especially in times of crisis,
when it is important to increase resistance, build resilience and
eliminate stress factors that reduce or inhibit performance. Those who
can identify and combat emotionally stressful factors in times of crisis
use the test procedure to create an individualized stress experience
pattern among managers and employees and to address the
individual sources of stress with equally individualized measures.
Other procedures usually target either operational triggers or
reactions of a person. The former is referred to as circumstances-
based diagnostics, the latter as behavior-based diagnostics. Few
diagnostic procedures also capture the process component and
examine how stress develops over time. RELIEF, however, is a
diagnostic procedure that takes all three aspects into account. On the
one hand, the tool identifies the individual triggers of a stressed
person and, on the other hand, takes into account the individual
effects. In addition, it asks about the processes that promote or
cushion stress. In combination with supporting resources or resilience
factors, this results in a highly individual stress pattern, which is
