What really makes people tick and what companies really need
The blue personality type: reserved analyst and detail-oriented
thinker
This type questions information and considers a matter rather once
too much than too little. He proceeds analytically and often appears
detached. He thoroughly analyzes all aspects of an issue before
forming a judgment. He is an expert in his field. He knows every
detail and has an answer to every question. But to the outside world,
he seems rather distant and seemingly uninvolved. In difficult
situations, he listens thoughtfully and very carefully. In doing so,
he collects numbers, data and facts. However, his fascination with
details can cause him to lose sight of the big picture. He has problems
with people who don't get to the point and talk a lot. The blue type
often seems somewhat stiff, quiet and closed, which can hinder
contact. He often feels uncomfortable at social events and big
functions, because he is not the type for small talk.
This fact- and task-oriented type follows the motto in all walks
of life: "First think, check and check again - and then act." Before
advising the other person to do something, he or she has thought the
matter through thoroughly, obtained all available information, and
carefully weighed up the pros and cons. However, human
relationships also depend on a relationship of trust between people,
and the introverted Blue often has difficulty with this. His love of
detail can lead to weakness in decision-making, his fear of making a
wrong decision to a lack of action orientation.
His typical phrases can be summarized as follows:
• "I'll have to take some time to think about that."
• "Let's cut to the chase."
• "Please also note this detail: ..."
