by the Executive Committee. Special meetings may be called b>
the President upon a written request of not less than ten members.
Xotice of same shall be sent to each member at least fifteen days
previous to the meeting. A majority of the members attending
shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.”

                       M r. M c I n to s h : I would like to call attention that it changes
the time of holding meetings from February to May, as it seems
                  February is an undesirable month.

                       M r. O ’H ara : W ould not it be well if a semi-annual meeting
was held instead of an annual meeting? lly so doing the members
are brought together more frequently: they are able to exchange
ideas within a shorter period, and the better acquainted we become,
possibly the greater interest will be shown for the benefit of the
                  Association.
                        P r e s i d e n t S t r o x o : That is provided for in this resolution,
that a special meeting may be called by the .President upon the
written request of not less than ten members.

                        M r. O ’H a r a : Do you think a special meeting called together
in that manner would interest all the members to the same extent
as if it were to be held every six months, and so noted in the Ry-
Laws ? A regular meeting, I think, is attended with greater
                   interest than a special meeting.

                        P r e s i d e n t S t r o m ; : I believe this is not a new subject. It
was discussed at the last annual meeting. We discussed it, and
concluded that it was well to have annual meetings, and thought
it often enough to bring the members together.

M r. M cI ntosh ; I will say that the thought in the minds
of the Executive Committee seems to be as follows: That it is
best to have a stated time for each annual meeting, and then to
have it easy to call special meetings. If you arrange for two
meetings a year it might be possible at the time of the second
annual meeting in one year, the most important subject you might
want to discuss would not be in shape to present to the Association,
and you would have to wait until the next meeting, or call a
special meeting. So it was thought best to have one annual
meeting and then make it easy to call a special meeting.
