Amish Work in Irish Chain 1930, as labeled by seller. eBay purchase from vendor Paris0813, labeled as "Lan-
caster, PA 1930". 81½"x91" Fabric: Cotton. Batting: Thin, cotton. Backing: Cotton, green. Edge: A tape of
green fabric was worn completely through and in some places is off. Piecing: By machine. Quilting: By
hand in black thread, extensive and elaborate. The lavender fields have four tulip flowers, base to base.
Each block in the Irish chain has an "X". The lavender at the edge of the green border has tulip flowers.
The green border has overlapping football shapes. The purple border has baskets of flowers with tulips
and compass flowers between them. Condition: Good. The binding is missing. One lavender field has
brown spots.
