Alexandria City Chapter Top Ladies and Top
Teens of America partnered with March of Dimes,
thousands of families and teams from all over the Dis-
trict of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia area to fund-
raise and walk in the 2018 March for Babies at Nationals
Park, home of the world-famous Washington Nationals
baseball team.
Nine members of the Alexandria City Chapter TLOD/
TTA Team (6 Top Ladies, 2 Top Teens, 1 Lord and 1
guest), completed the three-mile course. Lady Patty
Edwards, Chapter President was on hand to see the
team off. Lady Monique Bagby and Lord Byron Bagby
sprinted through while Top Ladies Natalie Tukpah,
Yolandria Dixon Carter, Edwanda Larkin and Top
Teens Arielle and Chanel Kirksey came in a close sec-
ond with Top Ladies Betty Morrison and Nicole
Hutchinson. It was a memorable and rewarding event
for the whole team.
The Alexandria City Chapter exceeded its original goal
of $1,300 and raised $2,088 for the 2018 March of
Dimes March for Babies Campaign. The Chapter was
recognized at the 2018 TLOD Parliamen-Top as having
collected the 2nd most donations for the TLOD national
campaign. The March of Dimes leads the fight for the
health of mothers and babies, and the Alexandria City
Chapter TLOD/TTA is proud to support their efforts.
Dale City-Prince Williams County
Chapter celebrated its 10th Anniversary during a gala
at The Waterford, Springfield, Virginia on September 8,
2018. The chapter chartered on September 13, 2008
with sixteen founding members: Lady Charlene Bishop,
Lady Angela Bouknight, Lady Janeen Brown; Lady San-
dra Clark (President), Lady Sharron Jackson, Lady El-
cynthia Johnson, Lady Merry Johnson, **Lady Shari
King, Lady Ukessia Lee, Lady Wilhemina McKinney
(TTA Advisor), Lady Janet Simmons, Lady Michelle
Smalls, Lady Cynthia Springfield, Lady Ann Tanner; La-
dy Jeanine Walton and Lady Jacqueline Wilcher. The
chapter chartered under the leadership of 11th National
President Lady Jackie Pope, National Area II Director
**Lady Delores Humphrey Chriss and the Chapter Or-
ganizer Lady Pauline Hunter. (**deceased)
The chapter’s engagements over the years include:
fundraisers for March of Dimes, Alzheimer’s Associa-
tion’s Walk, Stomp Out Sickle Cell Walk, American
Cancer Society Relay for Life, Avon Foundation Breast
Cancer Walk, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital;
the Prince William Adult Day Healthcare Center (annual
Veterans Day and Grandparents Day programs, and
establishment of a community garden); the Adopt-A-
Spot Program and the Keep America Beautiful, Inc.
Great American Season Cleanup Campaign, in coordi-
nation with Keep Prince William Beautiful; job readi-
ness & life skills classes for the Action in Community
Through Service Women’s Empowerment Center; logis-
tical support to Back-to-School Physicals; placement of
American flags on graves over Memorial and Veterans
Day; and numerous other projects to support need in
the community.
