Lincoln Park Chicago Chapter Top Ladies of Distinction hosted Stilettos and Strategies, the 3rd

annual empowerment conference put together by women for women who are interested in bettering their lives.
The day-long conference was held Saturday, October 20, 2018. The LPCC Status Of Women committee hosted
the conference which consisted of a series of mini-workshops, a complimentary breakfast, lunch, and raffle draw-
ings. The conference opened with Teen Kennedi Webb of Lincoln Park Chicago reciting the powerful Maya An-
gelou poem, “I Rise”. The Keynote Speaker for the conference was Alfreda Beth. Some of the highlights from
the various workshops included: Dr. Andrea Blake, a health and nutrition expert discussed creating a body de-
signed to last a lifetime.
Shree Franklin-Hill delivered a thought provoking presentation on protecting your consciousness during times of
change. “It’s My Time” was the focus of Dr. Sharice Bradford’s presentation. Dr. Bradford discussed the im-
portance of women taking time for themselves to ensure their well being. Donna Miller demonstrated an
“Unstoppable Woman” which was wonderfully displayed through an electrifying performance. Judge Adrienne
Davis and Attorney Ashley Shambley shared a powerful testimonial on Sexual Harassment in the workplace. The
day culminated with the poem “Empowered Woman” by LPCC Top Teen Jordan Mighty. In addition to the
workshops, the conference attendees were provided with screenings from our Walgreens partner. The Lincoln
Park Chicago Chapter’s Women’s conference was an astounding success. Our goal was to impact, improve and
enrich the lives of the women in our communities. We far exceeding our goal….mission accomplished!!! Thanks
to all who helped make this year’s conference a tremendous success!!!!

Milwaukee Chapter was the host chapter for the Area III North Cluster meeting held on October 13,

2018 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One new Top Lady Nidra Moore was inducted into the Milwaukee Chapter at the
cluster meeting. In addition, the day included zumba enjoyed by Top Ladies and Teens.
