Atlanta Peachtree Chapter partnered with
Sephora for their Classes for Confidence: Brave Beauty in the
Face of Cancer on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the
Sephora Ponce City Market location in Atlanta, GA.
The class provided a makeup tutorial for cancer survi-
vors to assist in enhancing their beauty. The makeup
artists also encouraged the guests to be brave and try a
different look with the makeup. The guests expressed
how the class was extremely helpful and really did boost
their confidence. Sephora provided all attendees with
gift bags and expressed their appreciation to APC for
assisting in Sephora’s initiative to raise confidence
among cancer survivors.
Jackson Chapter hosted its second Status of
Women (SOW) “Back to Work” Seminar this year with
major focuses on “Dressing for Success and Entrepre-
neurship.” TLOD ladies visited the “Dream Center”,
which is a lighthouse and a beacon of hope to all wom-
en and women with children who have a strong desire
to change their way of life by implementing biblical
principles so that the cycle of chronic homelessness
shall be broken. During this seminar, residents reported
that there had been successes such as: finding employ-
ment; preparing to enroll in nursing school; finding em-
ployment and alternate housing. “Dress for Success”
