                                                         Region I
                                            SCHOOLS DIVISION OF LA UNION
                                                 Luna National High School

rely on government funding in addition to donations from parents and other education
              stakeholders.
Increasing additional funding, providing teachers and students with a sense of
employability and entrepreneurship skills, enhancing students' academic performance
and health through the efficient use of income-generating projects, lowering
unemployment, and promoting student innovation are the justifications for the
implementation of income-generating projects in secondary schools.
Luna National High School's Senior High School Theater and Arts Club (TAC)
income-generating project is a stage play and variety performance funded by the PTA
and stakeholders. This activity seeks to raise funds for the purchase of equipment or
materials required in the teaching-learning process, as well as to encourage as many
learners as possible to participate with talents and skills. This hones the trainees'
communication skills while also improving their personalities.
Using proceeds from the stage play and variety performance, the Senior High
School department's comfort rooms were revived last year with the help of the PTA and
SGC officers. Along with meeting other departmental requests, water systems were also
              updated.

                  FEEDING PROGRAM
School feeding programs improve enrollment and academic results in addition to
reducing hunger among school children. To create and carry out the nutrition
interventions for such multi-objective initiatives, the education and nutrition
              communities must collaborate.

The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Bureau of Learner Support
Services-School Health Division, implemented the School Based Feeding Program
(SBFP) in the 2018 fiscal year with the goal of encouraging students to attend class
every day and improving classroom attendance and school performance to over 85%
annually. This is because all students must be in good health in order to perform or
              participate in any school activities.
For adolescents, health is essential to academic success since it reflects their
whole well-being. Healthy people save more money, work harder, and live longer. A
person's ability to do his everyday responsibilities correctly is influenced by his or her
              health.
Since the LNHS-SGC is committed on its active support and participation on the
projects and activities of the school, this activity which is spearheaded by the
Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) department with the support of the PTA and
different clubs and organizations of the school to gradually eradicate malnutrition
among Grade 7 students is conducted every month.
