Ayodhya Airport: PM Modi inaugurated Maharishi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Ayodhya Airport in
Uttar Pradesh on 30 September. The new airport in Ayodhya
has been named after sage poet Maharishi Valmiki. Union
Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that PM Modi
resolved to build modern airports and railway stations.
Maharishi Valmiki is credited for writing the epic Ramayana.
The new Shri Ram International Airport is located about 15 km
from the main Ayodhya city.

system, LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, landscaping with
fountains, a water treatment plant, a sewage treatment plant, a

On December 30, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra
Modi officially inaugurated the redeveloped
Ayodhya railway station, which has been renamed
Ayodhya Dham. The new station building, adorned
with a temple architecture facade as a tribute to
Lord Ram, was unveiled ahead of the consecration
ceremony at the Ram Mandir on January 22, 2024.
The Ayodhya Dham railway station boasts "airport-
like" amenities within its redesigned interior. This
development holds special significance as Ayodhya
anticipates an influx of pilgrims and tourists
following the upcoming consecration ceremony.
