Kit on Kit proven their worth to

                                                Some of the useful

                                                  Keeshonden!
Sometimes I can’t believe that I’ve shared/devoted over thirty years of my
life to these hairy critters but it’s true. During this time every now and again
I find a really useful piece of kit that I wished I’d had since day one but have
had to kiss a lot of frogs to find… I’d like to share these with new owners and
golden oldies alike who may not have found them yet whilst sailing the oceans
of doggie/dodgy things out there for us canine enthusiasts. Of course there
are all the frogs I’ve tried (and pounds I’ve wasted), on other products and
ideas but these I consider to be gems, in no particular order, just for your
        beloveds and of course, you.
One Step ‘Vet 10’ urine test strips. (100 for £9.99
today from Amazon.) Most vets charge over £100 a
time for the exact same in-house test. Being able to
test monitor at home will ensure you pick up on any
potential problems like urinary tract infections, kidney
and liver disease, diabetes etc before they become too
serious and can then start treatment/diet change with
your vet’s advice early as often there is a change in
the urine before any other symptoms are seen.

Soft fabric collar. Hoorah! Finally a comfortable
trumpet for your Keesie to wear when he needs to be
prevented from licking wounds or surgery sites etc.
So much nicer than the hard plastic alternative that
also seems to trap and pull the long neck fur. No
forgetting though that while your Keesie has a collar
on it becomes your responsibility to keep his/her bits
She-She fresh to prevent UTIs especially important for the girls.

Millie Mats. Washable fabric puppy/senior ‘accident’
mats. They don’t look unsightly on the floor; the soft
army green colour helps and is supposed to resemble
grass to a dog (I’m not sure about that), but my
Keesies have always gravitated to using them quite
naturally when needed. They hold a lot, don’t leak
through, don’t slip and stay flat, wash very well and
appear to last for years but the best thing is they do
                            a giant sized one (44” x 63”) - perfect.
